Summary:
The main function of a Business Analyst is to perform the analysis, design, implementation, modification, and daily functional support of all applications.
Job Responsibilities:
- Works with key stakeholders within all business functions to align technology solutions with business strategies
- Gathers requirements from business units and translate those to programmers and developers
- Prepares cost-benefit and return-on-investment analyses to aid in decisions on system implementation
- Demonstrates an informed knowledge of business functions to resolve problems and capitalise on improvement opportunities
- Supports one or more highly complex business processes Works on multiple projects as a project team member Serves as a liaison between the business community and the IT organisation in order to provide technical solutions to meet user needs
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering or related field required.
- MBA or other related advanced degree preferred research using multiple sources of information to arrive at innovative solutions 8 to 10 years experience.
Experience Required 8+ Years
Mandatory Skills: Expert SQL, Python, Tableau, Jenkins
Highly Preferred Skills: CI/CD, DevOps
Your Responsibilities Include:
- Explore & Understand Data: Perform deep level data research, data exploration, and business analysis.
- Use sophisticated data engineering to unlock the value of our data by finding new insights through developing new metrics, identifying gaps, and new opportunities for the business.
- Build Data & Analytic Solutions: Solve business problems with data engineering, scientific data-driven approaches, and technology. Propose new or improved analytic solutions and help implement them in collaboration with our stakeholders, IT, and data science teams.
- Drive Business Insight: Work in partnership with stakeholders to define business problems and actionable solution possibilities. Build visualizations and presentations that tell a story, is insightful, and actionable to non-technical audiences.
- Technology, Automation & Scale: Understand the tech-stack required to be at the forefront of analytic data innovation. Build data solutions that are automated and scalable.
Required Skills & Experiences:
- MSC in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, Statistics, or related disciplines.
- 8+ years of hands-on experience working with complex business data and information design problems. Ability to improve ineffective manual data and reporting processes. Create scale through data standardization and process automation. Demonstrate expertise in solving tricky data stitching and consolidation problems.
- Expert-level SQL and solid Python data engineering skills. Extensive experience with data platforms, such as Hadoop, Cloudera, AWS, MS SQL Server, Spark etc. Some web development needed.
- Self-directed business research and corresponding data exploration and reporting, resulting in new data, metrics, and business insights. Show knowledge of statistics and machine learning as part of feature engineering.
- Demonstrate creative talent for doing insightful visualizations and data mashups using different tools such as Tableau, R, Mode Analytics and Power BI etc.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and project management skills are essential. You are well versed in Agile development processes.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with Jenkins or other CI/CD tools.
- Software-as-a-Service and Telemetry data experience is a big plus.
- Demonstrate experience with enterprise software environments, such as Salesforce, Adobe, and Marketo, Jira, Confluence, Slack, and Bugzilla.
