Role: Quality Engineer Specialist
Location: Bangalore or Pune
Description:
Works with DevOps engineers to perform functional and non- functional testing for changes implemented by their DevOps team. This includes the creation of test data, test plans and test scrips. This may also include working with QA Integration Architects and Engineers to support cross team/group/engine testing.
Experience:
1. 10+ years relevant work experience
2. Conduct internal audits and inspections for systems and product conformance to quality requirements
3. Exp. in medium to large scale Agile / DevOps programs.
4. Experience as QA lead on medium to large sized projects, driving quality in every aspect
5. Strong verbal and written communication skill.

9. Using Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) / Platforms as a Service (PaaS) - Leverages cloud computing to create multiple environments to support software development.
10. Managing system implementation - Planning for, managing and guiding our technology teams to effectively build, integrate and deploy systems across our enterprise.
Qualification
1. Associate degree and 2 years' combination experience in quality and/or manufacturing and/or engineering and
2. Bachelors' degree in engineering.
Accountabilities:
1.Provide excellence in quality engineering practices
2. Support the developers to create frameworks that support automated testing
3. Support the Product Owner - Senior Specialist to define test criteria for new features.
4. Create test cases and execute testing
5. Measure the level of automation and test coverage and support the goal of continuous improvement
6. Ensure test planning is developed, implemented and compliant with test processes to deliver repeatable and measurable quality results
7. HSE Responsibility: Take reasonable care for your own safety and the safety of others, comply with and implement any reasonable Telstra HSE instruction, policy, standard, minimum requirement or procedure, and support Telstra to meet its duties under the relevant safety and environmental legislation.
8. You bring advanced skills and experience in automating testing for a software platform, both backend and frontend; as well as experience and know-how at building out automated deployment pipelines that support ongoing automated testing.
9. You have experience using up to date software development and quality practices, including test driven development, automated testing, continuous integration and continuous delivery.
10. You apply a rigour to testing that ensures quality expectations are always maintained at the highest levels.
11. Your analytical skills enable you to see around corners to the problems that lie out of sight so that we can overcome them before they bite us.
12. You are a self-starter, creative thinker, proactive and enthusiastic; and a team player, as keen on the success of those around you as of your own.
13. You- re a great communicator and have proven experience in collaborating effectively with business stakeholders.
14. You have exceptional attention to detail and time management skills.
Your technology acumen is highly regarded; including deep skills in many, perhaps all, of the following technologies:
BDD, Cucumber, Jenkins, Maven, Puppet, Chef.
Polyglot: C#, .NET and ASP, Java, JavaScript, AJAX, Angular, XML, JSON, HTML & CSS, MSSQL, Postgres.
Automation of testing & continuous integration.
