Position Name : Technical Writer
Location : Delhi / NCR / Work from home option available
Industry : IT-software / software services
Experience : 4-8 years of technical writing experience
Salary Budget : 40-60K per month
Joining Time : Immediate or short notice period
Role Objective :
1. Need wordsmiths to develop product manuals, how-to guides, website help sections, blogs, articles
2. Expertise in writing that distills technical information with ease and clarity
3. Develop comprehensive documentation that meets organizational standards
4. Obtain a deep understanding of products and services to translate complex product information into simple, polished, and engaging content
5. Write user-friendly content that meets the needs of the target audience, turning insights language that sets our users up for success
6. Develop and maintain detailed databases of appropriate reference materials, including research, usability tests, and design specifications
7. Evaluate current content and develop innovative approaches for improvement
Responsibilities :
1. Research, outline, write and edit new and existing content, working closely with various departments to understand project requirements
2. Independently gather information from subject matter experts to develop, organize, and write procedure manuals, technical specifications, and process documentation
3. Work with development and support leads to identify all documentation repositories, revise and edit, and determine the best solution for data compilation and centralized storage
4. Research, create, and maintain information architecture templates that uphold organizational and legal standards, and allow for easy data migration
5. Develop content in alternative media forms for maximum usability, with a consistent and cohesive voice across all documentation
Required Skills and Qualifications :
1. Bachelor's degree in relevant technical field
2. Experience of working with Confluence
3. Experience in technical writing tools such as FrameMaker, WordPress, etc.
4. 4-8 years of industry experience as an effective technical writer
5. Proven ability to quickly learn and understand complex topics
6. Previous experience writing documentation and procedural materials for multiple audiences
7. Superior written and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for detail
8. Experience working with engineering to improve user experience: design, UI, and help refine content and create visuals and diagrams for technical support content
