We're looking for our first site reliability engineer with more than 1 years of work experience who will play a major role in our team and be in charge of building out the SRE function and process. Up until now, the responsibility has been spread across senior engineers.

We obsess about our infrastructure as a competitive advantage and are looking for the right person to help us take things to the next level.

What you'll do :

- Ensure the performance and quality of our infrastructure. Establish SLIs, SLOs, SLAs

- Quickly detect, diagnose, and respond to incidents that arise during your shift

- Find and exploit opportunities for automation wherever we can get them

- Expand on our monitoring and metrics to capture improvements in reliability, availability, latency, and overall system health

- Lead the charge for incident responses and integrate postmortems into the team's culture

- Build out the SRE function in terms of people and process

Qualities and skills you have :

- Take a high degree of ownership and pride in the quality of your work

- Ambitious, curious, resourceful, with a positive attitude

- Strong communication and documentation skills

- Have successfully managed mission-critical production systems

- Have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field involving software/systems engineering, or equivalent practical experience

- Have experience programming in Javascript

- Have experience managing cloud-based infrastructure (ideally on GCP)

- Have experience leading a team of developers

- hustle, debugging, automation personality

- SRE domain expertise in terms of working with kubernates/aws/docker for 1-2 years

- Bonus: Experience with audio/video streaming systems

You'll be working with Sam Udotong, CTO @ Fireflies.ai. Sam graduated from MIT in 2016 where he studied computer science and aerospace engineering. He and his co-founder Krish were [featured as the cover of Entrepreneur magazine in Sept 2020]
