IT systems

We have a vast number of IT systems - from back office, middle office, client and ordering management and HTML5 Mobile web sites, which are used by external clients as well as - internal users. We have a suite of micro services that abstract generic functions and thus achieve agility through reuse and reduced cost of deployment.

With over 20,000 corporate clients over a million end users, IT systems are at the core of our business. We mainly develop using Microsoft technologies (C#, SQL server) and keep up to date with technologies such as MVC, SQL 2012, HTML5, Entity Framework, Node.js and use Agile methodology to build API enabled platforms.

Your role:

- As a Salesforce Developer in you- ll be a key member working within an Agile team and you'll be able to use your experience to develop new business functionalities, as well as implement new systems. You'll also be involved in defining solutions and assist junior members to further develop their IT skills.

Main Duties:

- Help to Identify and interpret business requirements

- Document functional and technical specification documents

- Develop, maintain and enhance multiple systems

- Work with the QA to ensure high level of quality

- Perform related duties as assigned

- The current platform is used by a mixture of Sales, Marketing and Customer Service professionals therefore experience of Lightning, Sales, Service and Marketing Cloud would be ideal.

- Understand Salesforce.com architecture and data model - know when to develop declaratively and when to use programmatic development.

- Develop and maintain Visualforce and Lightning applications using up to date Salesforce technologies.

- Building custom solutions using Salesforce.com configuration and customization to existing solve business challenges or

- Actively seek out opportunities to leverage Salesforce, driving productivity gains and maintaining the innovative spirit.

- Involved from start of the project all the way through the deployment and will actively participate in requirement discussion, design, development, validation/testing and deployment of the project.

- Hands on development using configuration, APEX, HTML, JavaScript, JQuery.

- Develop integration processes using Salesforce.com's Web Services API.

- Continual evaluation of existing Salesforce security and architecture to ensure its manageability and sustainability.

- Adherence to coding standards for all deliveries

- Engage with key stakeholders through the entire software development lifecycle, keeping them regularly updated on progress and ensuring all requirements are satisfied

Experience and Skills:

- Demonstrable and certified software development experience

- Experience working in an Agile environment

- A relevant bachelor's degree or equivalent

- Analysis and design through to successful implementation of Salesforce.com, including experience with Salesforce.com developer toolkit including Apex Classes, Controllers, and Triggers, Visualforce, Force.com IDE, Migration Tool and Web Services

- Develop with semi-structured data like JSON

- Knowledge of REST and SOAP API's

- Experience of using custom controllers or Salesforce Canvas to integrate with external webservice tool

- Ability to design complex SOQL and SOSL queries

- The development of custom Lightning components through Aura

- Point-and-click development within a Lightning environment

- Ability to manage code coverage within the governance limit

- Experience of mapping business processes to the technical solution and undertaking impact analysis

- Code deployment experience using Github

- Ability to provide application users with technical and functional support

- A good understanding of data structures, data modelling, DB schema

- Exposure to Agile development methodologies and JIRA as a project management application

- A proven track record of successful project delivery with at least three full project lifecycles completed

- Knowledge of Java and Javascript

- Excellent teamworking with both clients and colleagues

- Strong stakeholder management; and

- Certifications on Salesforce.com will be looked upon favorably but is not a requirement
