ROLE OVERVIEW :
- Enterprise Data Services (EDS) is part of Business Technology and functions with a goal to deliver technology that is centered around our business and collective success.
- We(BT Enterprise Data Service team) are an agile team which owns the Enterprise Data Platform and has been/is responsible for the delivery of reporting/performance metrics/self-service analytics to various business domains.
- Activities also include management of on-premise & cloud platforms. We oversee technology strategy, Salesforce on Salesforce, customer and partner enablement, collaboration, applications engineering, architecture, governance and program enablement for Data and Analytics.We are responsible for the delivery of operational reporting and performance metrics to various business domains including Sales and Sales Operations, Marketing, Finance, and Employee Success.
- Team also manages all aspects of rolling out Salesforce's analytics tools/solutions to internal business partners.

- The Salesforce BT EDS team is looking for an experienced MDM & Data quality engineer to monitor the quality of data within Salesforce enterprise to make informed decisions.
- They need to examine complex data to optimise the efficiency and quality of the data being collected, resolve data quality problems, and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to improve the quality of data systems.They need to assist the business development team in implementing a global, data-led strategy.
Responsibilities :
- Perform analysis, design, development, and configuration functions (includes defining technical requirements) with a high degree of accuracy and speed, to satisfy business requirements
- Work closely with business owners, product owners, and related applications to ensure data quality requirements are properly documented and interpreted correctly.
- Responsible for oversight of data quality rules development, data curation/ enrichment/ standardisation rules, data flows and downstream impact. Validate changes being made are not limiting growth or flexibility for future expansions.
- Document data quality related business processes and standard operations, including business rules, exception cases, workarounds and typical use cases of the data quality metrics, including the integration with all related applications and analytical platforms.
- Participating in data quality improvisations (db/etl/visualisations) for any requested enhancements to ensure a quality solution
- Provide training/ education for end users to properly govern the data for quality and protection.
- Participate in the data quality approval workflow design and data governance/data stewardship framework
- Perform data profiling to assess data quality and to reverse-engineer database structures and data definitions by investigating actual data to create and validate hypothesis
- Review user requests for system and process enhancements related to data quality
- Work as the liaison to communicate user feedback and product roadmap for data quality
- Good understanding of data quality management. Knowledge of data governance and how it impacts business processes.
Required Skills :
- 7+ years of experience in MDM, Data Quality and Data Integration projects
- Experience in MDM architecture, Integration with upstream and downstream (batch and real time)
- Experience in MDM Data modelling for at least 2 different data domains (Ex: Sales, Retail)
- Experience or understanding in MDM Workflow Management using any MDM tool
- Experience in Performance tuning and Match rule Tuning
- Knowledge in MDM Hub Configuration, hub user exits and external calls.
- Knowledge in integrating MDM with any DQ tool
- Expert-level database skills in Oracle, MS SQL server and/or Snowflake
- Hands on experience on any Data Quality Tools such as Talend Data Quality (DQ) or Informatica IDQ or any Industry reputed DQ tool
- Knowledge on configuring profiles, setting validation rules
- Knowledge with any industry reputed ETL tool in designing data integration pipelines.
- Very good knowledge on Heterogeneous data integration methodologies
- Ability to communicate effectively with technical and business teams, drive issues to closure
- Strong understanding of Data management and data stewardship roles in an organisation
- Strong time management and organisation skills. Ability to work on multiple projects concurrently
