Senior IT Business Analysis Project Manager - PMO (8-15 yrs) (GUS Global Services)

Role: Sr. IT Business Analysis Project Manager

Reporting to : Head of International Commercial Operations

Nature of Job : Permanent, Full time

Job Purpose : 


- The International Business Development Department is involved in the day to day and overall business processes for the international sales teams. Led by the Business Innovation, Intelligence & Technology Department, the team are focused on designing and launching solutions to support a global network of Business Developers, institutions, and agents.

- The IT Business Analysis Project Manager is responsible for the success of all projects in the portfolio and specifically focused on the onboarding of newly acquired institutions and partnerships into our systems and operations. The project manager plans, executes, and delivers all projects on time, in budget, and within scope in accordance with business priorities. 


- Throughout the lifecycle of each project, the project manager tracks project status and manages project teams to mitigate issues and risks. The role holder is a senior leader who works with IT project teams and our business to collect, clarify, and translate business requirements into documentation and conceptual design from which applications and solutions are developed.


- The business analyst is an active thought partner and application visionary who shapes technology demand among the business community.

- The ideal applicant should therefore have an operational understanding of assessing and meshing business processes, be an expert in negotiating with internal and external stakeholders and partners, and have wide experience of producing and executing acquisition and integration plans.


- The role holder will be expected to conduct initial analysis of the quality of potential acquisition; highlighting risks and challenges and mitigating against, managing or escalating as appropriate, performing extensive due diligence and documentation on integration, creating partnership and acquisition time-to-market models, developing and delivering acquisition and integration plans, reviewing and driving the integration experience by working cross-functionally to ensure clients are onboarded and allocated effectively into the business, following project plan and end to end management of the process of reducing our time to value on new ventures.

Key activities and responsibilities :

- Directs large-scale, complex projects that may involve multiple internal and external stakeholders.

- Defines project scope, goals and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.

- Defines, creates and executes project plans for project, portfolio, and product prioritization and implementation.

- Evaluates trade-offs between project size and complexity, cost, urgency, risk, and stakeholder value.

- Partners with business sponsors to define success metrics and criteria.

- Builds, leads, and coaches multiple project teams throughout project life-cycles.

- Provides frequent on-site monitoring and enforcement of schedules, milestones, and vendor accountability.

- Purchases equipment in accordance with policies, budgets, and operational demand.

- Facilitates all operational checkpoint activities throughout the lifecycle of projects.

- Creates risk mitigation strategies to anticipate, assess and resolve project risks as they are encountered.

- Ensures all projects adhere to project methodology compliance standards set by the company.

- Prepares project status reports and presents project performance updates to relevant business stakeholder.

- Defines and tracks project milestones while developing, maintaining, and reporting on an overall integrated delivery plan.

- Ensures all projects meet success parameters and ROI targets stated in business case.

 - Works with business partners to elicit, analyze, and document business requirements.

- Liaises with IT project teams to communicate business priorities, translate business requirements into technical requirements and identify appropriate solutions.

- Facilitates regular requirement gathering and design sessions with user community and communicates expectations to the development team.

- Negotiates innovative business solutions that satisfy customer needs, are consistent with architectural guidelines, and conform to security standards.

 - Works with multiple stakeholders to assess the impact of proposed solutions, facilitate deployments and minimize disruption to services.

- Works with business partners to conduct user acceptance testing.

- Documents user manuals to describe application installation and operating procedures.

- Coordinates the project resources to ensure that projects are delivered on time and within budget.

- Identifies opportunities for business-led delivery.

- Provides consultative support on business-led technology initiatives.

Desired Candidate Profile :

Education & Qualification :

- Bachelors Degree

- Salesforce experience

- Project Management certification

- Salesforce Qualifications

Knowledge :

- Ability to understand business functionality and translate it into application requirements

- Ability to create compelling business cases with accurate cost and effort estimations

- Excellent understanding of business complexity and project interdependencies

- Intellectual curiosity and the ability to question thought partners across functional areas

- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills

- Ability to quickly troubleshoot problems that may arise in work products

- Ability to partner with multiple stakeholders and influence project decisions

- Strong understanding of basic system engineering, object-oriented design, information risk and security guidelines, and architecture standards

- Understanding of the various software development lifecycles (e.g. Agile, Waterfall, etc.)

- Understanding of modeling techniques, such as unified modeling language, etc.

Experience :

- 7+ years of professional experience, 3+ in management

- Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills

Working days: Mon-Fri

Work Timings: UK Shift (Roughly 1PM-9:30PM)
