Unilog - Vice President - Project Methodologies (12-20 yrs) (Unilog)

The main roles & responsibilities:

- Effective Management of a direct team of Technical Project Managers (TPM) and their supporting development team members.

- Provide oversight and management on all aspects of a service or solution, driving communication across multiple internal groups (Sales, Design, Engineering, QA and Support) with the primary mission of ensuring Unilog's solutions deliver an excellent client experience.

- Analyze, identify and drive critical and escalated issues to resolution.

- Track internal metrics, provide external clients and internal management with SLA dashboard and reporting metrics;

- Ensure effective project execution for implementations across multiple countries simultaneously by liaising between customers and Unilog internal cross-functional teams to deliver project on time and on budget.

- Utilize project management tools, methodologies and metrics to ensure the delivery of approved project outcomes, accurately and regularly maintain project logs and registers, report accordingly, and support project stages

- Deliver projects using the appropriate agile project management methodology, learning and iterating frequently.

- Manage resource allocation/utilization across different projects. Manage scope creep.

- Single point of contact for all offshore delivery related matters. Act as the liason between Engineering team, Cross-functional team and clients ( if warranted) to address any issues.

- Maintain a solid understanding of the status of each project and delivery schedule. Monitor progress accordingly, intervene when necessary.

- Address customer issues within the defined SLA - Report all matters of significance affecting project objectives and deliverables to the project governance or senior management in a timely manner

- Ensure the updating, planning and documentation of all key project aspects including risk management, sprint, implementation and testing plans.

- Drive continuous, provable improvements and efficiencies based on data - Lead and motivate multi-disciplinary teams, having the knowledge and experience to provide support and guidance - Ensure teams work effectively by having a productive working environment

- Actively participate in the project manager community, sharing and re-applying skills and knowledge and bringing in best practice.

Qualification, Experience & Skill Set Required :

- Proven success in an entrepreneurial environment;

- Lead dynamically and energize multi-discipline high performance work teams to learn and apply new skills/techniques to respond to business needs;

- Conduct and interpret quantitative/qualitative analysis pertinent to Project Cost Estimation and Project Pricing;

- Managing the on-time delivery of multiple project teams consecutively using Agile Methodologies;

- Experience with detail performance measurements/dashboard associated with multiple development team;

- Possessing clear and concise verbal and written communication skills to all levels including senior management team, with the ability to present and discuss technical information in a way that establishes rapport, persuades others, and gains understanding across all areas and levels of the organization

- Substantial experience in project team management, ideally with significant exposure to solution development and delivery within the B2B/B2C e-commerce space

- 15 +Years of Total Experience with 10+ years relevant to project management and leading a team of project managers. Experience with effective management of many projects running concurrently is also a key qualification

- Bachelor's degree (MBA preferred) or formal qualification in project management or a relevant field or equivalent experience.

- Strong results oriented and a proven track record of delivery projects on time, on budget and to required quality standards 


- Proven ability to work as a team player within multi-functional and multi-disciplinary teams, sharing knowledge, contributing pro-actively to achieving project goals and providing coaching and guidance to less experienced team members.

- Proven experience balancing multiple priorities and dealing with ambiguity.

- Proven experience in managing cross-dependencies and prioritization.

- Proven experience of driving continuous, provable improvements and efficiencies.

- Strong management and project management skills with the ability to work on and track multiple projects.

- Experience in various Estimation Methodologies

- Strong problem-solving skills - Ability to make right decisions based on strong analytical reasoning skills.

- Excellent interpersonal skills that build positive relationships with other team members.

- Strong skills in Microsoft products including Outlook, Excel, MS Project and Word Desirable.

- Understanding of a wide range of project management methodologies and how to integrate them into different environments.

- Practitioner in at least one recognized Project Management methodology (e.g.: PMP / PRINCE2). Exposure to issue management (e.g.: JIRA) and customer relationship management (e.g.: Salesforce) tools.

- Experience with Business Process Management (Activiti) is a plus - Experience with XML/XSLT.

- In addition to the specialist skills listed above successful candidates will need to demonstrate broad competencies as below.

- Map and manage stakeholders to ensure good relations and effective communication, Support project SDLC and post-production activities.

- Utilize effective communication skills to contribute to effective and positive relationships between internal cross-functional teams, team members, customers, and senior management.

- Provide leadership in effective problem-solving behaviors, Participate in all required internal & external customer meetings, planning sessions, performance reviews, trainings, and team development activities.
