Appsian - System Architect - Okta/SaltStack/AWS (5-10 yrs) (Appsian)

Job Description :

- Systems Architects report to the Director of Enterprise Architecture and work as part of the IT Team to facilitate change to meet the needs of our organization. They work with our Sales, Support and Engineering teams to deliver performant infrastructure and/or application solutions to help meet the company's strategic goals. Architects work in a continuous improvement framework to implement new processes as well as to enhance efficiency, resiliency, performance, and security of existing solutions.

- Systems Architects draw from a diverse IT background from multiple layers of the solution stack and strong problem solving skills to understand stakeholder requirements and to be able to research and suggest solutions to challenges. They assist with planning and lead implementation of changes to support approved solutions.

Key Responsibilities and Duties :

- Meet with stakeholders to understand requirements and timelines

- Assist with research and planning of solutions

- Change management (communication, internal documentation)

- Develop user documentation and training

- Implement changes to meet requirements

- Act as second level resource for general IT support requests

- Cloud Server Architecture

Job Requirement :

- 5+ years relevant work experience aligning with position requirements and ability to demonstrate knowledge.

- Cloud-scale computing (private or public; provisioning/deprovisioning, networking, monitoring, troubleshooting)

- General networking concepts

- DevOps, programming or scripting experience

- Server-class OS experience (installation, configuration, management) - Windows and Linux

- Experience in AWS and SaltStack would be an asset
