Technical Lead - SAP Variant Configuration (6-13 yrs) (Career Tree HR Services)

Essential :

- Tertiary qualification in Information Systems and or Technology with focus on software engineering (testing, release management) and quality assurance.

- At least (6) years experience in Development implementation of SAP VC Configurators

- Strong knowledge in SAP Make to Stock, Make to Order, Engineer to Order, Master Data and Tooling

- At least three (3) years experience in the leadership and management of a software development team, or similar, of six (6) people or more.

- At least three (3) years experience in operational resource planning, software delivery targets, agreed levels of service and quality standards of a software development team, or similar, of six (6) people or more.

- At least three (3) years experience in Project Reporting to internal stakeholders in line with project mandate, requirements and Project Management better practice.

- At least three (3) years experience in the leadership and management of a support team, or similar, of four (4) people or more.

- Demonstrated the ability to translate business requirements into VC related objects

- Ability to approach a requirement with workable solution to avoid heavy development to cater for complex scenario

- Deep understanding of SAP VC, IPC; strong understanding of object dependencies, MTO & ETO process using VC as well as VC pricing models using routines, understand the need when to use exits

- Good solid understanding of the SAP PP module

- Experience in running integration testing on VC with various SAP modules

- Strong experience in an organized and documented sets of techniques, intended to facilitate the structured development of applications and to enable the user to create, populate and manipulate data structures.

- Ability to work under pressure in a stressful work environment

- Ability to work with other technical stakeholders outside of core SAP VC (example Salesforce/WS/GPDM teams) from an end-to-end automation standpoint

- Thrives in a healthy "pressure to perform" environment and leads the team in a similar way

- Ability to work with stakeholders and reach agreement on any ambiguity in solution or business requirements.

- Strong experience software tools which automate or assist part of the development process.

- Strong experience with managing and improving Quality Assurance of software

- Strong experience with operating effectively within an ITSM and ITIL compliant environment

- Strong experience with methods and techniques associated with planning and monitoring progress of projects.

- Experience in system architecture and integration with an Enterprise Systems environment.

- Ability to provide strong customer service and exercise diplomacy.

- Strong organizational & time-management skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks.

- Ability to work independently with minimum supervision.

- Ability to work under pressure in a stressful work environment.

- Very good written and oral communication skills

- Sound organisational, people and time management skills

- A committed and proactive attitude towards Environment, Health and Safety

- A strong commitment to improve on time delivery

- Very good knowledge of the Microsoft office suite of applications

Desirable :

- Understanding of IT system processes, technology, infrastructure and specification

- Broad knowledge and understanding of the ICT infrastructure (databases, operating systems, local area networks etc) used within own organisation.

- Understanding of managing a service to customers at agreed levels of service and quality standards, including the tools, methods and procedures used in the service.

- Understanding of Process Management; optimal process design and implementation.

- Understanding of automated tools to assist in the project management process, by automating mechanical tasks such as scheduling, resource balancing, and time recording.

- Understanding of methods and techniques for running effective meetings and for understanding and influencing the roles played by participants.

- Ability to provide strong customer service and exercise diplomacy.
