JOB SUMMARY :
- As a Salesforce Marketing Cloud Developer/Consultant, you will be playing a key role to deliver complex projects from strategy, design and configuration through integration, testing, and deployment. The projects that you will be involved in would allow you the opportunity to work with some of the most in-demand and newest features of SFMC such as, Interaction Studio, Datorama, Audience Studio, etc. Work closely with the SalesCloud team to deliver product features that enable efficient on-boarding of merchant partners, as well as managing the work distribution of the Sales team.
- You will be responsible for understanding business requirements and delivering high-quality technical solutions that empower the Marketing teams to utilize the Marketing Cloud automation platform, this new position will support the email marketing team with building custom queries, email templates, Amp script-based on dynamic templates, automation jobs, and build out comprehensive customer journeys and reporting to the Senior Director of Digital Platforms & Data, the ideal candidate will have experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud and Commerce Cloud (B2C/B2B).
REQUIRED COMPETENCIES :
1. Proven background in hands-on Salesforce Marketing Cloud configuration as well as Studios, Builders, and landing pages
2. Previous experience of designing Salesforce Marketing Cloud solutions to meet business requirements including segmentation, campaign design, and marketing journeys, comfortable creating and managing data sets and data extensions within SFMC to power email campaigns, journeys, and personalized content, Great communicator, capable of articulating and collaborating confidently with various departments.
3. Experience designing and implementing marketing technologies
4. Experience configuring marketing cloud products, eg Email Studio, Interaction Studio, Mobile Studio, Social Studio, Advertising Studio, Web Studio, Analytics Builder, Journey Builder, Automation Studio, Content Builder, Audience Builder HTML & Database knowledge will help to assist issues with email template fixes and segmentation builds - SQL, SSJS & AmpScript knowledge
5. Experience in execution of Email and SMS Marketing campaigns
6. Experience with Salesforce Sales Cloud would be advantageous
7. Declarative customization including the creation of Flow, Process Builder, Approval Processes, Validation Rules, Workflow rules, Reports, and Dashboards
8. Comprehension of SFDC Data Model and Management using tools like DataLoader and SOQL
9. Understanding of Salesforce Profiles, Permission Sets, and Sharing Rules Understanding of Salesforce architecture and development best practices
10. Knowledge of web services development using rest API, SOAP services, etc. to build custom Inbound/Outbound integrations on Salesforce platform
11. Experience in Agile/XP/Scrum SDLC will be a bonus point.
12. Resident Salesforce technology expert responsible for design and technical implementation
13. Translate business and marketing challenges into well-designed solutions.
14. Collaborate with the internal feature development team to determine the best path for Salesforce platform implementation.
15. Stay in tune with the latest Salesforce technology updates, changes, community, and roadmap(s).
16. Understand the ins and outs of complex technology environments and know how to optimize solutions for efficiency and simplicity
17. Responsible for iteratively improving our Marketing Cloud data model and architecture
18. Enjoy teaching and coaching the business team on how to best use Salesforce Marketing Cloud
19. Maintain and document technical processes and marketing automation procedures and provide seamless hand-off to business users to utilize
RESPONSIBILITIES/EXPECTATIONS FROM THE ROLE :
1. You will be working alongside a highly skilled and experienced team of Architects as well as having support on projects from experienced Consultants and Developers
2. You will be given a huge amount of autonomy in the role while still having the support of the wider business when needed
3. Develop and maintain certifications and training with salesforce as new technologies and upgrades are released.
4. Identify new trends and capabilities, articulate business value, and assess the technical feasibility of new applications
5. Test features for release, manage impact analysis, execute training and drive adoption of new features
6. Excellent written and verbal communication skills
7. Ability to work effectively with non-technical personnel
8. Experience with email and/or marketing automation software and integration with databases
9. Knowledge of Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC) aka ExactTarget is required.
10. Experience working with all Marketing Cloud Builders and Studios, including Mobile Connect and Personalization Builder for Emails
11. Develop responsive email templates with extensive knowledge of AMPscript and Guide Template Language
12. Front-end development building Cloud Pages utilizing HTML, CSS, JavaScript and AMPScript
13. Experience implementing automated solutions utilizing Marketing Cloud Server-Side JavaScript (SSJS)
14. Master with SQL and robust understanding of Marketing Cloud's contact data model
15. Extensive experience utilizing Journey Builder with a thorough understanding of Audience Builder configuration.
16. Ability to elicit requirements and translate to technical solutions that can scale across multiple business units
17. Experience with web service integration (REST/SOAP)
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Training on Salesforce cloud platforms
2. Performs other related duties as assigned or requested

EXPERIENCE :
1. 3+ years of experience as a marketing cloud administrator and/or developer
2. Strong background in agile SCRUM agile practices and associated tools (Jira, Confluence, Slack, etc.)

4. Fundamental understanding of database technologies (RDBMS, NoSQL)
5. Certified in Salesforce Marketing Cloud Developer and/or Marketing Cloud Consultant is preferred, but not required.
