Senior Developer I - Salesforce/Apex (4-6 yrs) (Talent500)

Developer role Salesforce platforms covering Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Marketing Cloud. The key responsibilities are but limited to:

- Work closely with the Salesforce Product Owner as part of the Digital Technology and Marketing Technology Team to develop Salesforce solutions for the business stakeholders as well as supporting wider project in Pentland Brands.

- Maintain the Salesforce platforms to ensure that they are in good health

- Troubleshoot and resolve Salesforce issues for the users.

- Proactively look for opportunities to improve the platform setup.

The role you- d play:

Technology :

- To provide insight into how we can provide the best technological solutions driving the most value for the wider organisation.

- To contribute to the development of ideas, processes and technical solutions that improve our offering.

Solution and Project Delivery

- Understand overall project methodology and how to work within a project environment.

- Define and deliver project tasks within agreed timescales within budget.

- Be part of project teams and contribute to the planning and resourcing of project tasks where appropriate.

- Identify, highlight and plan mitigation for risks in own area.

Support and Service :

- Provide an excellent support to the business in the day-to-day running of the operational business systems.

- To support and maintain Pentland's applications where relevant to a site or a location.

- Ensuring procedures related to identification, changes, testing, documentation, approval and communication of any modification to the system are followed.

- Performing and supervising the implementation of changes to the system, including those which have a multi-brand and global impact. Including active and positive adherence to Pentland Its change control.

- Identify technical solutions for problems, improvements and developments.

- To carry out system administration tasks as per documented procedures.

Other :

- Have the self-starter mentality to learn new technology in line with overall architecture direction

- Provide technical mentoring and coaching to the analysts in the department

- To support other team members with regards to ad-hoc department activities.

The must haves:

- Experienced in Salesforce configuration on Sales Cloud, Service Cloud and Marketing Cloud.

- Ability to gather requirement from stakeholders and translate it into technical solutions and develop it on the Salesforce platforms.

- Able to configure, customise and develop the system using Salesforce.com packages and components, standard and custom objects, workflow rules and other standard and custom elements. Ensures that the solution is in line with functional and technical requirements.

- Experience with Lightning components.

- Able to develop high quality code using the force.com API, Apex triggers and classes, Visualforce pages, Force.com sites.

- Able to troubleshoot and resolve Salesforce issues for the users.

- Able to run APEX tests and error logs to maintain the Salesforce platforms to ensure that they are in good health.

- Proactive in looking for opportunities to improve the platform setup.

- Contribute to the delivery of wider projects and business initiatives.

- Prepares and maintains technical documentation, test plans, release note, user guides and training material.

- Contribute to the delivery of wider projects and business initiatives.

- Keep up to date with the latest releases on the platforms from Salesforce and do the necessary tasks to prepare the platforms for a release update.

- Experience in the following coding languages - Visualforce Basics, Salesforce object query language, Apex object-oriented programming, Lightning framework, SQL

- Salesforce certification for Salesforce developer preferred.
